The Research Methods module aims to help students to develop an understanding of the research process and to undertake research leading to successful completion of their dissertation. The module covers ideas, techniques, and methods relevant to different stages of the research process, stressing the interdependence of each stage in conducting effective, coherent and rigorous research. By covering the fundamentals of research methods and research methodologies, this module will enable students to conduct research independently and provide them with the knowledge and understanding needed to do a dissertation. This comprises a tuition fee loan up to £7,000 and a non-income assessed living cost loan of £4,500. Chevening Scholarships are awarded to outstanding emerging leaders to pursue a one-year master’s at Cranfield university.
The whole part-time MSc is expected to be completed in three years and includes Modules 1, 2, 3, 4, Group Project 1, 2 and the Individual Research Project module. The PgDip takes two years to complete; Modules 1, 2, 3, 4 and Group Project 1, 2 must be completed successfully. The PgCert is expected to be completed in one year, with taught modules 1 and 2 and Group Project 1 to be successfully completed.
